Students receive one free ticket and may purchase up to three (3) additional guest tickets. Guest tickets are $25 each. Madison County EMA/CSEPP will be conducting tests of the New Outdoor Warning Sirens in Madison County. Sound checks are scheduled for September 7th, at 10:00 a.m. The test will last 3-5 minutes and check each tone the new siren is equipped with. These sounds do NOT indicate an emergency and NO action is required of the public. Tests will NOT be conducted if severe weather is expected.
Residents should note these important upcoming changes to the outdoor warning siren system:
• New sirens will *not* have voiceovers after the warning sound
• New sirens will only alert for tornado warnings – sirens will NOT sound for any watches, nor for thunderstorm warnings
• New sirens will use three tones:
o Test tone: a high wail lasting 30 seconds
o Tornado warning: a high wail lasting 60 seconds
o Chemical emergency: an alternating high and low siren lasting 60 seconds Event Date: September 07; 10AM Location: Throughout Madison County

QUALIFICATIONS FOR CANDIDATES:
1. Must be a FULL-TIME student at Eastern Kentucky University.
2. Must have a minimum 2.0 Cumulative grade point average.
3. Must not be on University probation.
Entry fee ($20) for each candidate is to be paid by cash or check (paid to the EKU Homecoming Committee). Payments can be delivered to the Office of Student Life & FYE or the EKU Alumni Office. If an organization fails to pay the entry fee by Thursday, September 7th by 4 p.m., their candidate will not be included in the nominee pool.

Integrate to Regulate is a group designed to promote healing for trauma survivors. This group incorporates specific, concrete skills combined with expressive arts to support the process of trauma integration.

Join the staff of the EKU Counseling Center today for a workshop on Mindfulness. Being isolated in quarantine can lead to spending a lot of time on various activities that take your attention away from the present moment. Practicing mindfulness can be a great opportunity to improve your mental health by challenging yourself to be present and aware of your thoughts and feelings. In this workshop, you will learn tools that can help you practice mindfulness and work towards reducing and preventing stress, anxiety, depression, as well as many other concerns you may be experiencing.
