Take Back the Night and the Clothesline Project

Help us memorialize victims and honor survivors of interpersonal violence by attending the Clothesline Project and Take Back the Night. EKU participates in these nationally celebrated activist events to raise awareness about the need for safety and violence prevention.

From noon until 9:00 p.m., the Clothesline Project will provide t-shirts for participants to design based on their own or their loved ones' experiences. The t-shirts are anonymous and hang on our clothesline for all passersby to view.

From 9:00 to 11:00 p.m., Take Back the Night features speakers from Bluegrass Rape Crisis Center and Hope's Wings Domestic Violence Program and an open mic for survivors, followed by a candlelight vigil for victims and a march around campus for consciousness raising.

Event Date: April 20  Noon-9:00 p.m.  Location: Powell Corner  Cost: Free
