Open House for Non-traditional Students
Did you know there is a student organization for non-traditional students? We are known as the OWLS, which stands for Older Wiser Learners. Our primary purpose is to provide a support network for each other. We would like to invite you to join our organization. The OWLS have a lounge area in the Powell basement, room 11 which has computers, a refrigerator, microwave and comfortable seating. It is a great place to take a break between classes or meet other adult students for study sessions and general support. We also have lockers available for rent.
We are conducting an Open House on Wednesday, September 16th from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm and will be providing pizza during lunch time.
If you meet any of the following criteria you are eligible to join OWLS:
Married, Divorced or Widowed
Have children
Military Service
Returning to school after 5 years
Age 25 or older
We hope to see you there!
