CHAUTAUQUA Lecture, Thurs. Oct 8: Lourdes Torres of DePaul University - Hispanic Heritage Keynote

  
Lourdes Torres of DePaul University will give the Chautauqua Lecture Series' Hispanic Heritage Keynote Address, “What if We Change the Conversation About Latinos?: Towards a New National Discourse,” Thursday, Oct. 8, at 7:30 pm in O'Donnell Hall of the Whitlock Building.

Free and open to the public. Attendance slips will be provided for students.

Dr. Torres is Vincent de Paul professor and director of Latin American and Latino Studies at DePaul University, editor of the journal, Latino Studies, author of “Puerto Rican Discourse: A Sociolinguistic Study of a New York Suburb,” and co-editor of two books: “Third World Women and the Politics of Feminism” and “Tortilleras: Hispanic and Latina Lesbian Expression."
