EKU Guitar Ensemble Concert!
The EKU Guitar Ensemble will perform works for jazz, classical and contemporary guitar on October 22, at 7:30 p.m. in Gifford Theater. This concert will feature hard-swinging jazz arrangements by Chris Buzzelli ("Denton Blues" and "Man That's Neat"), a set of acoustic works by Brazilian guitarist Celso Machado, an electric guitar version of Pachelbel's Canon, the first London Trio trio by F.J. Haydn, and an acoustic arrangement of "Little Martha" by the Allman Brothers. Select soloists will be featured, including a performance by Jon Brewer of "Bulldog Bite" by Steffen Schackinger. The EKU Guitar Ensemble is directed by Dr. Dennis Davis and will be assisted by Aaron Smith (drums) and Tyler Monell (bass). The concert is free and everyone is invited!
