"The Essential Eastern" Documentary Premiere
Join the University Community next week for the premiere of "The Essential Eastern: A History of Eastern Kentucky University," a documentary produced by Chad Cogdill, MFA, Associate Professor in EKU’s Department of Communication. Original musical score by Dr. Richard Crosby, Foundation Professor in EKU’s Department of Music.
"The Essential Eastern" showcases the evolution of EKU from 1874 to present – from its founding, with the early struggles, through two world wars, the Great Depression, integration, the Vietnam War, and on into the new millennium. The film touches on cultural and societal issues that helped shape the campus and its people.
