ANGEL TREE: Support Local Families and Veterans
This year Student Life, Campus Recreation, and the Office of Military and Veteran Affairs are sponsoring two angle trees. Come to Powell Lobby and pick an Angel off the Holiday Trees. This year we have two trees: One benefiting the Salvation Army and the other the Thomson-Hood Veteran Center.
Each year, individuals and families turn to The Salvation Army for help during the holidays, whether it's needing food for a Thanksgiving dinner or wanting to see their children's eyes light up when they see presents under the tree Christmas morning. This year EKU is committed to supporting forty families in our community fulfill this need with the Salvation Army.
New this year, we are also taking collections to fulfill the needs of local veterans at the Thomson-Hood Veteran Center.
Join us Friday at 3 pm to help us raise and decorate the trees in Powell Lobby.
