CHAUTAUQUA Lecture Tonight at 7:30 pm: Astronomer and Author Chris Impey on "Our Future in Space"

At present we are still largely confined to life on planet Earth. But what happens when humanity’s curiosity and inventiveness inevitably lead us to inhabit places beyond the bounds of our home planet?

Dr. Chris Impey, Distinguished Professor of Astronomy at the University of Arizona and a prolific author, will share his vision of humanity’s future in space in his Chautauqua lecture, “What If We Live Off-Earth? Exploring Our Future in Space,” TONIGHT, Thurs. Feb. 4, at 7:30 p.m. in O'Donnell Hall. Free and open to the public. Attendance slips will be provided.

Dr. Impey is the author of many notable books, including the 2015 New York Times Editor’s Choice book "Beyond: Our Future in Space" as well as "Humble Before the Void," "How It Began: A Time-Traveler’s Guide to the Universe," and "Encountering Life in the Universe."
