CHAUTAUQUA Thursday - President Michael Roth of Wesleyan U on "The Future of Liberal Education"

  
How does a liberal education benefit students, and how can it prepare them for success in the real world?

Dr. Michael S. Roth will share his answers to these questions at the final Chautauqua lecture of the 2015-16 series, “The Future of Liberal Education: Transformations and Opportunities,” Thursday, May 5th, 7:30 pm in O’Donnell Hall. Free and open to the public. Attendance slips provided.

The President of Wesleyan University, as well as a noted historian and curator, Roth is the author of many books about education, history and psychology, including most recently “Beyond the University: Why Liberal Education Matters” and “Memory, Trauma and History: Essays on Living with the Past,” in addition to many others. He has co-edited numerous books and journal issues and regularly publishes essays, book reviews and commentaries in national newspapers, scholarly journals and The Huffington Post.
