EKU Libraries: Textbook Information
Students often request textbooks from the library. Due to copyright law, the library cannot serve as an alternative to students purchasing their required course materials. However, to support student success, EKU Libraries do keep a limited number of textbooks on reserve, and they are listed in our catalog with the location “Main Library Help Desk.” This reserves collection includes required readings assigned in undergraduate courses. The books are available for use in the library only, generally with a 2-hour checkout period, and they only include the print textbook content (workbooks and online access codes aren’t included). We hope this service is useful to students, especially at the beginning of the term when books may be unavailable or on back order. Students wishing to #payitforward may donate extra copies of textbooks to the Libraries at the end of the semester.
