Diversity Office Sponsors Refugee Simulation Experience
The University Diversity Office (UDO) invites you to join us for “Walk a Mile in My Shoes: A Refugee Camp Simulation,” held Friday, October 7, at Louisville's Waterfront Park. This unique and dynamic learning experience open to students, faculty, and staff is an excellent option for any required multicultural experience. The event cultivates global awareness,compassion and empathy through a first-person glimpse into what many refugees endure when fleeing from their homes and living in a refugee camp.
The Diversity Office will provide transportation to and from the event. We will leave campus at 8am Friday morning arriving in Louisville by 10am. The simulation experience will take approximately 3 hours and the group will return to campus by 3:30pm.
Lunch and proof of attendance will be provided.
Registration is $5.00 and payment must be received by Wednesday, October 5. Space is limited; RSVP today via clicking "More Information".
