Berge Oral History Center: Kentucky Protest Movement Contributions

The William H. Berge Oral History Center has launched the “Kentucky Protest Movement Project." The project seeks to capture Kentuckians’ participation in the local, regional, national, and international protest movements that have sprung up since the election of the 45th President of the United States, Donald J. Trump. The Berge Center is currently seeking interviews with individuals and groups who have participated in recent protests or marches, such as the Women’s March on Washington or the Planned Parenthood March. The Center is also interested in hearing from individuals who are involved with environmental, social justice, or other related civil action movements in Kentucky. Interviewees will have an opportunity to tell their stories, which will be made available via the Berge Center website, and establish a living record for the expression of First Amendment rights.
