SPJ Fake News Forum
EKU Society of Professional Journalists is hosting a Fake News Forum. The forum raises a discussion about how the phrase "fake news" has affected the media industry, political climate and public figures. The panel consists of President Michael Benson; Anne Cizmar, Associate Professor in Department of Government and Economics; Ginny Whitehouse, Professor in Department of Communications; and Lawrence Smith, WDRB 41 Reporter. The moderator, Michael AJ Randolph, Lecturer in Department of Communications, will ask each panelist a question regarding their opinion on the rise of fake news, what fake news entails and how journalists plan to combat fake news.
