First-Generation College Celebration
Did you know that about 2 out of every 5 EKU students are the first in their families to go to college? Come learn more about EKU’s rich history of supporting first-generation students and about our continued commitment to first-generation students’ education at the annual First Generation College Celebration. Students, faculty, and staff will learn more about available resources and hear from some first-generation folks with powerful EKU connections. Open House and refreshments begin at 2:00, you’ll hear an inspiring message from a first-generation EKU alum at 2:30, and a First-Gen Panel Discussion will begin at 2:45. Bring questions if you have them. Bring your friends and colleagues with you. And come ready to celebrate this important part of EKU’s mission!
