Philosophy and Religious Studies Roundtable: Cosmopolitanism, Pluralism, and Human Dignity

Pluralism is a controversial thesis fundamental to a prominent form of Cosmopolitanism. The thesis affirms that “there are many values worth living by” but denies that all values are worth living by. In this round table discussion we will look at pluralism by examining this prominent form of Cosmopolitanism and its principal alternative. Human dignity will emerge as an important aspect of the discussion.

Led by Dr. Ron Messerich, Professor of Philosophy, EKU Department of History, Philosophy, and Religious Studies
