Clothesline Project and Take Back the Night

Help us honor survivors and memorialize victims of interpersonal violence by attending the Clothesline Project and Take Back the Night. EKU holds these nationally celebrated activist events in order to educate the campus during Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month.

From noon until 9 p.m., the Clothesline Project will provide t-shirts for participants to design based on their own or their loved ones' experiences. The t-shirts are anonymous and hang on our clothesline all day for all passersby to view.

From 9 to 11 p.m., Take Back the Night features speakers from Ampersand Sexual Violence Resource Center of the Bluegrass (formerly BRCC) and Hope's Wings Domestic Violence Program; an open mic for survivors’ stories; a candlelight vigil for victims; and a march around campus for consciousness raising.

Event Date: April 25  12 p.m.- 11 p.m.  Location: Keen Johnson Plaza  Cost: Free
