More than a hundred years after Mark Twain wrote his own short stories about Adam and Eve, James Still combines those stories for Act One of Searching for Eden, and then imagines Adam and Eve in the present day. When the couple return to the garden they uncover uncomfortable truths and struggle to connect to their origins-and each other. Discover this poignant and very contemporary play about the world's first love story. We present this story as a “Paired Project” with Act one directed by EKU Theatre student Baxter Wilhelm, and Act II directed by Alana Ghent, EKU Faculty. Come make a game in 48 hours during our 4th annual Fall Game Jam. Event starts at 5:00 pm Friday (10/7) and continues all weekend. All students/faculty/staff are welcome to attend. You may bring your own team or come solo. Free food will be provided all weekend along with prizes.

Bring out your instruments, your voice, or your dancing shoes, and join us for an old-timey music jam! All experience levels are welcome. Open to all EKU students, faculty, and staff. Additional Fall 2016 jams scheduled for:

Have any special vocal talents, poetry, comedy, or short stories? Come show off at Open Mic Night. After all acts perform we will have karaoke (mostly Disney) until 9:00 pm.

Come out and join us for the EKU Vets “Meet and Greet!” All military students and dependents are invited to stop by the Kennamer room in Powell from 6:00 – 9:00 pm on Wednesday, October 12 to check out the EKU Vets Club. Chinese Students and Scholars Association is honored to welcome all students, faculty and staff to our 2nd Annual Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration. Our goal is to promote Chinese culture through this celebration as the Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the major holidays in China. We will have free food, drinks, individual/ group performances, games and more! Food provided by China King restaurant, first come first serve. Hope to see you there!!!

Languages, Cultures, and Humanities welcomes everyone to track us down at our new digs and enjoy a frosty beverage and scrumptious sustenance while jamming to fine tunes at McCreary Hall! Starting at 10 am, we will have light refreshments and entertainment while you explore our new location and meet our faculty, staff, and students.

Student Health Services will offer free flu shots to students in the Fitness and Wellness Center from 2-4 PM or while supplies last. Student Health Services will only administer flu shots at flu shot clinics. Future flu shot clinics will be announced in the coming days. Come out and hear Dr. Antoinette M. Davis speak on the challenges and successes of being an African-American Female in a male dominated fields. Attendance slips will be available.
