Please save the date! All students will be invited by email to participate in a Campus Safety Climate Survey jointly administered by the Office of Equity and Inclusion and Campus Recreation. You will receive a link to the survey on Feb. 15, 2017, with reminder emails to follow. The survey will be open through March 22. The survey will examine your attitudes toward EKU's safety climate as well as student experiences with bullying, alcohol, sexual misconduct, and other topics. Be on the lookout for our info tables in Powell! This is a chance to speak; we're listening!

Bored on Fridays because you're stuck on campus? Come and hangout playing some classic games ranging from Ticket to Ride, Settles of Catan, and Arkham Asylum. Board games are provided but feel free to bring your own.

Urban Dictionary defines the "man box" as, "the rules for acting like a man"; the mentality behaviors and restrictions that many men and boys are socialized to conform to. These tenets of the "cults of masculinity" are both symptoms and enablers of Dominator Culture. They can be so pervasive as to be almost invisible; yet they lead men to disrespect, mistreat, and abuse women and each other." Join us Monday February 6th from 5:00 - 6:00 pm in Herndon Lounge for a courageous conversation on the "man box".

Looking for something to do on a Wednesday night? Want a chance to see your favorite EKU sports teams showcase their talents? Come out to Jock N Roll, a talent show of Eastern's own student-athletes! EKU sports has partnered with Hoops for Heroes to send a U.S. Military Veteran and their family on a weekend getaway to the OVC basketball tournament in Nashville, Tennessee. Tickets are only $2 presale and $3 at the door. Support a good cause while getting a dose of laughter and entertainment. On Monday, February 13, SGA will be taking EKU students to join fellow Kentucky College Students from WKU, NKU, UK, U of L, Morehead St., Kentucky State, Murray St, and KCTCS at our state capitol in Frankfort for the Rally for Higher Education. The rally is being hosted by the KY Board of Student Body Presidents. SGA will be providing transportation. Attendance verification will be provided in Frankfort. SGA will leave campus around 9:00 am and return following the conclusion of the rally. Return arrival to EKU is expected around 4:30 p.m. The actual rally will take place from 1:00-3:00 pm in the Capitol Rotunda. Prior to the rally, there will be opportunities to meet Kentucky legislators and tour the Capitol. Students or student orgs interested in attending may contact Collin Potter. Ultimately, this rally is focused on the future of higher education funding in Kentucky.

The College Democrats are going to Lexington on Sunday to join a rally against President Trump's xenophobic executive order suspending the Refugee Resettlement program and immigration/travel from several Muslim-majority nations. We encourage interested students to attend! If you want to attend, drive students, or make protest signs let us know! The organizers are a group of Lexington Muslim students and the student led "Revolutionary Radio."

In the mood to have a blast, get a great work out, and learn some new dance moves? Campus Recreation's Nightclub Zumba® event will feel like you're really in a club! Dance in the dark with disco lights to your favorite songs while seven Zumba® instructors lead the class.
