We will be discussing our recent participation in the peaceful/lawful Rally against President Trump's Immigration Ban in Lexington, planning future events, and hearing from our guest speakers, the founders of a grassroots campaign to make Kentucky a "referendum" state. In this talk, Dr. Stephanie McSpirit will speak about her current work on the Appalachian Equine Project, a collaboration with EKU Special Collections and Archives. Dr. McSpirit will then show the documentary that she worked on this past summer (2016) with Neil Kasiak (Special Collections), Chad Cogdill (Communications), and Jason Edwards (film editor), "The Kentucky Riding Saddle, A Quilted History." Ask your professors for extra credit for attending. Slips will be provided to students.
