Join Wildlife Management majors, Jason Martin & Isaac Bentley, to hike the grassy paths of Taylor Fork Ecological Area to learn about trail cameras: the history, set up and uses. Please feel free to bring personal laptops along to obtain trail camera pictures but it is not necessary to attend. The hike will be on February 23 2017 at 11:00am and will last 1 hour. Dress for the weather. The paths are mowed, you will require sturdy walking shoes.

In collaboration with FitTrace, the EKU Exercise and Sport Science Department will host a fat loss challenge!
The event is open to all students, faculty, and staff, and will require both the download of the FitTrace App and a body mass (DXA) scan prior to February 22nd, followed by final scans April 24th- 30th.
Prize monies will be awarded to participants for overall loss of fat mass and fat mass percentage:
1st place -- $300.00
2nd place -- $200.00
3rd place -- $100.00

Erika Skaggs is long time resident of Lexington, Kentucky with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from the University of Kentucky. Recently, she graduated the Patterson School of Diplomacy and International Commerce, as specialist in the twin fields of Security and Intelligence. Her current research is focused on Defense Policy, specifically National Security from a Cyber Perspective and Institutionalized Sexism in the Department of Defense.
Cyber Security has not always been the most compelling topic in America’s national security conversation. However, the increasingly dire consequences of an inadequate digital defense are slowly eroding that dynamic. This lecture will serve as an introduction to some of the fundamental security questions presented by our nation’s growing reliance on information technology. Where have we come from? • Jill Denner, an Education, Training, and Research (ETR) scientist, will be sharing her most recent research on Student Perspectives of Community College Pathways to Computer Science Bachelor's Degrees.
• Erin Mindell, Progam Manager at Google, will also share her insight into increasing women and other underrepresented groups in computing fields.

A mandatory informational meeting will be held Monday, February 27th for all students interested in running for a position with SGA for the 2017-2018 academic year.
