Join Adventure Programs as we screen for the first time Adidas Outoor Film Fest Movie. The event will take place at the Presnell Building (Brick Building next to the Intramural Fields) @ 7:00pm. This is a great time of year to hear the American Woodcock bird calling and see their amazing display flights at Taylor Fork Ecological Area. There will be a field trip on Tuesday March 21 at 7:00pm to observe displaying American Woodcocks. They begin calling and displaying after sunset. Binoculars are not necessary.
The trip will take approximately 1 hour.
Dress for the weather. You will require sturdy walking shoes.
Directions: Taylor Fork Ecological Area is adjacent to south campus. Take Kit Carson Dr to McKinney Skills Dr, then follow the dirt road on the right through the gate. Meet at the astronomy telescope deck parking area to shuttle down to the entrance of Taylor Fork Ecological Area. A map of the area can be found by "Clicking More on this Announcement"

Enjoy an evening with Kentucky Poet Laureate George Ella Lyon. Her current project is entitled, “The Poetry of Witness," which includes poems and a song written in response to our collective moment—some inspired by the media and others by children Lyon has met on school visits.
Lyon is the author of works for children, teens, and adults, including: "Where I'm From," "A Kentucky Christmas," "The Pirate of Kindergarten," "Borrowed Children," and more.

We want to see your 2D or 3D artwork created from recycled, organic, or other sustainable material. This can include used paper, sticks, empty bottles/cans, computer parts, etc. As long as your piece relates back to sustainability.
The deadline to enter is March 10th. You must fill out a form online in order to have your work featured in the exhibit. The exhibit will open March 27th- 31st.
All work must be dropped off to the EKU Crabbe Library Circulation Desk sometime from March 21st to 23rd.
Artwork submitted will be considered for the Eco-Art Exhibit Competition. Pieces will be judged upon aesthetic, creativity, and use of sustainable material. PRIZES WILL BE AWARDED TO THREE ENTRIES!
