The Eastern Kentucky University Police Department and 911 Telecommunications Dispatch Center have moved from the Mattox Building to 701 Vickers Drive. All phone numbers (both emergency and non-emergency) remain the same.

The Rho Eta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., presents Alpha Week 2017. Tuesday, March 21st we are having study with the alphas. Everyone is welcome to come!

Pound® is the world's first cardio jam session inspired by the infectious, energizing and sweat-dripping fun of playing the drums! Campus Recreation is adding Pound® to the group fitness schedule starting Tuesday, March 28. Pound® will be offered on Tuesdays from 12:15-1:00 pm and Wednesdays from 10:00-10:45 pm.

Need service? Volunteers are needed for a variety of short shifts preparing for the fair and at the state fair from March 30 through April 1. Friday volunteers are needed to assist with setup, safety inspections of displays and registration. Saturday volunteers are needed to help with safety checks, registration, distributing lunch, assisting with award prep, and making our campus guests feel welcome. We will provide letters documenting your service or organizational service upon request, and Saturday volunteers can receive a t-shirt and lunch. The Kentucky Science and Engineering Fair is one of the best opportunities to showcase our campus and the work of Kentucky’s best and brightest students in grades 5-12. This is truly a remarkable experience for all.

The Office of Military & Veteran Affairs would like to invite our female veteran students to attend the 2017 Women Veterans Luncheon, hosted by our sponsor, Bechtel Parsons. This free event will be held next week on Tuesday, March 28 from 11:30-1:00 in the Perkins Building, Quads A & B. Please join us for lunch as we honor the service of our female student veterans at EKU. Please RSVP to jaime.roberts@eku.edu. Dress is casual.

This is a kick off for a series of events on campus to facilitate discussion and tolerance. We will have games in the plaza as well as free snacks and drinks. We will have an open mic for people who want to voice what peace means to them.

This Tuesday we are ordering pizza! We will not be having discussion this Tuesday.

EKU Women and Gender Studies and the Department of History will host the 12th annual Herstory Conference on March 21 in the Library First Floor Study Area. The theme is "Women Writing/Studying/Documenting Women," and the schedule is as follows: 11 a.m., Dr. Pearl James' keynote address: "Women in the World War I Iconosphere" 12:30 p.m., Charlotte Schmidlapp Scholarship Essay Contest Winners: Yasmin White, Amanda Bowman, and Chaise Robinson 2 p.m., Faculty Panel: Dr. Carolyn Dupont, Dr. Susan Kroeg, Dr. Charlotte Rich, and Dr. Ilona Szekely Light refreshments and proof of attendance will be provided.

The annual EKU Health Fair will be 9:00 am to 3:00 pm in the Powell Student Center on Wednesday March 22nd.

The EKU Guitar Ensemble will perform works for jazz, classical and contemporary guitar on March 28, at 7:30 p.m. in Gifford Theater. This concert will feature hard-swinging jazz arrangements by Chris Buzzelli and rock, jazz and fusion selections by Mike Stern, Pat Martino, and Pat Metheny, The acoustic set includes compositions by Johannes Brahms, Claude Debussy, and Joaquín Turina. Select soloists will be featured and every concert includes some vintage rock & blues selections. This concert is free and everyone is invited!
