Pound® is the world's first cardio jam session inspired by the infectious, energizing and sweat-dripping fun of playing the drums! Campus Recreation is adding Pound® to the group fitness schedule starting Tuesday, March 28. Pound® will be offered on Tuesdays from 12:15-1:00 pm and Wednesdays from 10:00-10:45 pm.

Need service? Volunteers are needed for a variety of short shifts preparing for the fair and at the state fair from March 30 through April 1. Friday volunteers are needed to assist with setup, safety inspections of displays and registration. Saturday volunteers are needed to help with safety checks, registration, distributing lunch, assisting with award prep, and making our campus guests feel welcome. We will provide letters documenting your service or organizational service upon request, and Saturday volunteers can receive a t-shirt and lunch. To volunteer, use the OrgSync registration link or contact jason.marion@eku.edu for instructions or questions about available shifts. The Kentucky Science and Engineering Fair is one of the best opportunities to showcase our campus and the work of Kentucky’s best and brightest students in grades 5-12. This is truly a remarkable experience for all.

The Office of Military & Veteran Affairs would like to invite our female veteran students to attend the 2017 Women Veterans Luncheon, hosted by our sponsor, Bechtel Parsons. EKU Women and Gender Studies and the Department of History will host the 12th annual Herstory Conference on March 21 in the Library First Floor Study Area. The EKU Guitar Ensemble will perform works for jazz, classical and contemporary guitar on March 28, at 7:30 p.m. in Gifford Theater. This concert will feature hard-swinging jazz arrangements by Chris Buzzelli and rock, jazz and fusion selections by Mike Stern, Pat Martino, and Pat Metheny, The acoustic set includes compositions by Johannes Brahms, Claude Debussy, and Joaquín Turina. Select soloists will be featured and every concert includes some vintage rock & blues selections. This concert is free and everyone is invited!
