Come join Adventure Programs and Professional Climber Chelsea Rude as we head to the Red River Gorge to have her teach proper climbing techniques. Adventure Programs will provide all the necessary gear as well as transportation.

Let's "GLOW" for a run! April 7th at 9:00pm, Campus Recreation will be hosting the "Light the Night 5K"! This event is a five-kilometer fun run/walk through EKU's Richmond Campus, at night, with glowing cones, paint, and Glow-Zones to light the way!

The Rho Eta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., will be having a Open Discussion on presidential decisions and Social Climate Change. We encourage everyone to come out and partake in this event!

The EKU NWTF chapter is having a drawing for 2 YETI Roadie's to people who help with the EKU NWTF Banquet!! There are two simple ways to be entered in the drawing.
Option A is to help in the weeks heading up to the banquet by helping collect donations, selling tickets, or hanging up posters.
Option B is to help set up on the day of the Banquet. It will be held at the Best Western on April 6th and set up will start at 3pm.
You must sign up to become a national member of NWTF to be eligiable. A national member gets a free gift of either a knife set or a $25 Bass Pro gift card and access to "Turkey Country" Magazine, free admission to the National Convention, and discounts at certain stores and insurance. Any and all board games or card games are welcome including Cards Against Humanity, Ticket to Ride, Dungeons and Dragons--any game you own, you can bring!

Come chill with Alpha Phi Omega as we knit and crochet items for our various service projects while watching Netflix! Bring your own yarn and needles! If needed we will be providing limited supplies of yarn and knitting needles/crochet hooks.

Save the date for EKU Dance Theatre’s spring concert April 6-8th (Thursday- Saturday) in O’Donnell Hall! It will be the last one directed by Dr. Marianne McAdam as she is retiring. Mitch Barrett will be singing his “Sacred Yard” piece live, for a dance choreographed by Katrina Martir and Nashwa Cahill will choreograph her last Middle Eastern dance for EKU using glow in the dark Isis wings! We are looking forward to many alums and long-time supporters for Dance Theatre showing up one last time. Call 622-2171 to reserve tickets starting Monday, March 27th.

Local folk/Americana artist Buddy Tyree is performing a release show for his album Neon this Wednesday. Admission is free. EKU music majors will be given non-participant recital credit for attending. We are having our RAD Program (Women's Self Defense) on April 7th from 6-10PM AND April 8th from 9AM- 6PM. Spaces fill up quickly so you will need to contact Sgt. Early to get a reservation. You will learn potentially life saving skills for FREE!! Again, class is both days and it fills up quickly so contact Sgt. Early for registration.

The 2017 Welch Appalachian Social and Economic Justice Lecture Series will present “Appalachian Dreams: Social Work’s Grand Challenges in the Region for 2017-2027" by Dr. Jim Clark. Dr. Jim Clark is Dean and Professor at the Florida State University, College of Social Work. He earned a PhD from the University of Chicago, an MSW from the University of Kentucky and a Bachelor’s degree from Sienna College. Dr. Clark’s research interests are in the area of Forensic Social Work, Legal and Ethical Issues and Trauma Informed Translational research.
