It is being held in Jamaica where students will have the opportunity to participate in the One Health: One Global Environment Conference. Students will also take part in an inspection of a floating city-sized cruise ship and learn about mosquito/vector control from world experts. Campus Recreations Adventure Programs will have bikes for rent starting on Wednesday August 23 at 3:00pm-7:00pm. Bikes will be rented on a first come first serve bases. We will have our local bike shop (Mikes Hike and Bike) in attendance if we are unable to fulfill your needs.

Last year, EKU Mock Trial had a historic year, culminating in a 15th-place finish at the AMTA National Championship Tournament. Will we be able to top that performance? That depends on you! Come to the Noel Studio Discovery Room at 4pm on Wednesday, August 23, and hear about the EKU Mock Trial experience from students and faculty. Students selected for the team will earn course credit (POL 466, 2 credits per semester) while traveling the country and competing as attorneys and/or witnesses. Audition signups will be available at the meeting, and auditions will take place Thursday 8/24 and Friday 8/25. Interested students who cannot make the sessions should email thomas.parker@eku.edu.

You'll be introduced to EKU's growing LGBT+ community and have someone you can connect with as you acclimate to campus. Become a MHPA-Mental Health Peer Advocate! Students invited from all majors who have a passion for mental health and helping others. The online application for Student Teaching for Spring 2018 will be automatically open at 12:00 midnight on September 1 and will only be open for 2 weeks!! This is the only way to apply for student teaching and to list your preferences for school districts. Please talk to your professors and advisors about this deadline.
