Hey EKU Students, Campus Recreation Adventure Programs is offering out Rental Bikes for the Semester! If you are looking for a great bike to get around campus we have what you need. Our rental office will be open today from 1:00pm-5:00pm. Stop by Presnell/Base Camp (see the video below for directions) in order to pickup your bike. Throughout the semester if you have any type of maintenance issue feel free to bring it by our rental center and we will tune it up for FREE! For those of you that were at Rec The Ravine and got the chance to try the bike challenge we will have the same if not similar bikes available! 4v4 Sand Volleyball Registration Now Open! Take off your shoes and feel the sand between your toes at the intramural sand volleyball court! 10v10 Softball Registration Now Open! Register to join or create a team to play in this year’s softball season! Get 10 of your best friends and come to the Intramural Fields for some softball fun. Players defend the diamond from batters who are hitting softballs all over the field. Opponents must pitch underhand so there is no shortage of offense in this game. There will be leagues for all divisions and games begin September 4th! Registration Deadline: August 30th

5v5 Archery Tag Registration Now Open! Register to join or create a 5-person team to compete in 5v5 Archery Tag! Like laser tag, the goal of this game is to tag your opponents, but instead of using a laser gun you’ll use a bow and arrow! Duck and hind behind obstacles to take down the other team! This will be a single elimination tournament. Registration Deadline: August 31st

If you are interested in playing Women's Club Soccer at EKU, please come to our tryouts on Tuesday (8/29) at 8:00 pm on IM Field 3A. Mark your calendar for the 10th Annual EKU Diversity Breakfast sponsored by the EKU Diversity Office and the University Diversity Committee. Keynote speaker, Mr. James Womack is a retired EKU ASLIE instructor. He has taught both high school and college levels. In high school he taught English and basic science to Deaf students. In college he taught American Sign Language (ASL), Deaf Culture, Deaf History. Mr. Womack has also facilitated national professional development workshops for instructors.

The online application for Student Teaching for Spring 2018 will be automatically open at 12:00 midnight on September 1 and will only be open for 2 weeks!! This is the only way to apply for student teaching and to list your preferences for school districts. Please talk to your professors and advisors about this deadline.

It's Back!! Meditation and relaxation group starts this Monday August 28th! Every Monday and Thursday of the fall semester experience various types of relaxation and meditation techniques to help calm and relax the mind and body. The Office of Admissions is currently seeking to hire student(s) to work with our International Admissions Advisor. Job duties will include, but not limited to, making contact with prospective students through multiple channels. These may include email, telephone, Skype, Webinars, videos, flyers, brochures, etc. Topics range from inquiries about the University's admission requirements, scholarships, and student life to sharing information about student life at EKU with prospective students. Position closes August 28th.
