Photons for the Future! With the new solar panels out by the greenhouse, we have an award opportunity available to students actively working in areas of sustainability, environmental responsibility, etc. It is a one-time $1000 award. To be eligible you must be currently enrolled at any EKU campus, in good academic standing, and have made a significant contribution to clean energy and sustainability in the past 12 months. To apply, complete the application at (http://solar.eku.edu/photon-fellowship-application) and arrange for 1-3 reference letters to be sent to solar@eku.edu by September 30th, 2017. Criteria for selection include:
- Extent or quality of the applicant’s impact in environmental responsibility—past, present, and future
- Creativity, originality, and breadth/reach of the applicant’s contribution
- Clarity, professionalism of the application
-Input from references

The first BGS IC CAE intelligence workshop of the year will focus on Social Networking and Intelligence. Facilitated by a Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training (DOCJT) instructor, this hands-on workshop will overview criminal uses of social networking, the Dark Web, and investigative and intelligence collection techniques. Attendees are encouraged to bring their laptops to fully participate in the workshop. Lunch and refreshments will be provided to all attendees.
