EKU guitar majors will perform their final concert of the semester on December 5, at 8 p.m. in Gifford Theater (Campbell Building, EKU Main Campus). This concert features solo, duo, and group performances and includes a wide variety of works for acoustic and electric guitar. This concert is free and open to the public. Do you love hot chocolate? Do you love to paint? Join Student Life & First-Year Experience as we have our Cocoa & Canvas in Middle Powell. You do not need to know how to paint! You will learn to paint from an instructor. While you paint, you’ll be able to drink some hot chocolate. You can sign up in the Office of Student Life & First-Year Experience (Powell 128).

EKU Campus Life will be spreading "CAMPUS Cheer" by singing loud for all to hear! In the spirit of Colonel pride, our team of carolers will be singing our university fight songs at select locations on campus, Wednesday, Dec 6th. Our caroling/parade route will finish at "Winterfest" in KJ Plaza at 2pm, a winter themed event for all of our EKU community to enjoy, including synthetic ice skating! We want you to join our caroling team! Please join us on Dec. 6th, 12:30pm-2pm and spread campus cheer!

Please join us in celebrating Black History Month by participating in our annual writing competition. There will be two separate contests, one for area high school students (including Madison Central, Madison Southern, Berea Community, and Model Laboratory School) and one for Eastern Kentucky University students. The topic of work must be about some aspect of the black experience. This competition is an opportunity for students to tell their stories; it shows exemplary writings by high school and college students and honors their achievements as writers and scholars.
Please submit your work to Margaret Hale at Margaret.Hale@eku.edu (Keith 143) on or before March 30, 2018. • Prizes will be presented at an awards ceremony on April 25, 2018. Venue and time TBA.

The Java City Library Cafe, atrium, and computer lab spaces are open 24 hours Sunday-Thursday nights and the entire Main Library is offering extended hours through December 13.
