Job duties will include, but not limited to, excellent phone etiquette, use of social media such as Facebook and Instagram, filing, running errands on campus, greeting students and answering questions to direct students to the proper individual(s). No AWAY is looking for EKU students to work with Kentucky youth to form a campaign that will educate about plastic consumption. The target audiences that we will be working with are students age 12–15 from Kentucky.
EKU students will help with content, research, and execution of the project that will be directed by Professor McCarthy of the Art and Design Department.
Project will start at the beginning of Spring semester 2018, if interested contact Professor Shannon McCarthy at shannon.mccarthy@eku.edu to find out more.

Each year Eastern Kentucky University awards the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Student Community Service Award, the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Faculty/Staff Community Service Award and the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Alumni Community Service Award to recognize the members of the EKU community -- students, faculty/staff, and alumni -- who exceed the expectations in the area of service to the community, and embody the principles of leadership outlined in Dr. King’s "Drum Major Instinct" sermon.
The recipient of this award will be recognized at the Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Award Banquet on Jan. 24, 2018. Nominations will be accepted until Friday, Dec. 8.

On Friday, December 1st at 4:00 p.m. Richmond Parks and Recreation will be using the east side of the Alumni Coliseum (State Police Side) as a staging area for its annual Christmas Parade.
Commuter permit holders are encouraged to park on the west side of the Alumni Coliseum commuter parking lot (Model Side)if they anticipate being parked beyond 4:00 p.m. on Friday December 1st.
