Student Life & First Year Experience is excited to announce that Winter Colonel Craze, EKU's Student Involvement Fair. The Fair will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2018, from 11:00a-2:00p in Keen Johnson. This signature event is a wonderful way for your Registered Student Organization (RSO) or academic program to kick-off the 2018 academic semester. We encourage all RSOs to participate. All organizations wishing to participate in Winter Colonel Craze 2018 must: - Be a current active RSO on campus. - Be in good-standing with EKU Student Life & First Year Experience. - Complete the 2018 Winter Colonel Craze Form (See link). If your RSO would like to participate, please complete the form by January 31, 2018 at 5:00p.

Impedimed and the EKU Exercise Physiology lab is conducting reliability and validity testing on new equipment for the use of body composition testing. The title of the study is: Hydration Level Effects on Body Composition Evaluation Methods. Subjects will be tested for body fat, bone mineral density, and lean body mass to which you will be given this information. Potential compensation is a gift card drawing for $20 awarded at the end of the study. Requirements are a BMI of 18-35 and you are at least 18 years old. Testing will be conducted in the exercise physiology lab of Moberly and will take approximately 4 hours. Before arriving at the lab, subjects must be fasted for 8 hours, no alcohol for 24 hours, and no other fluids for 2 hours before your visit.

All students will be invited by email to participate in a Campus Safety Climate Survey. You will receive a link to the Survey from "EKU Office of Institutional Research" on Feb. 14, with reminder emails to follow. The Survey will be open through March 30. The Survey will examine your attitudes toward EKU's safety climate, as well as your experiences with bullying, alcohol, sexual misconduct and other topics. Please participate! Also, be on the lookout in your email for opportunities and instructions to win free prizes if you complete the survey.

The workshop will introduce the CTIAP methodology and have attendees apply the methodology to team case studies. The workshop will be facilitated by Dr. James Hess, a retired U.S Army Intelligence Officer. In addition to deployments to multiple countries, Dr. Hess also served as a Professor in the Combating Terrorism Center at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.

Is your life cluttered with emotional garbage created by a parent or caregiver’s substance use? Are you left cleaning up the messes they leave behind? If you answered yes, this group is designed for you! The Cleaning House Group is a weekly therapy group (Mondays 1-2:30pm). To register for this group, a group screening with a counselor is required. Come to the EKU Counseling Center (Whitlock Bldg., Room 571 or call 859-622-1303) to discuss your interest in the group and/or to ask any questions you may have about the group!
