Calling all Spring 2018 Graduating Seniors: GradFest is THE opportunity to acquire your cap and gown and offers a chance to buy invitations, class rings, ensure your name appears correctly on your diploma, ensure your diploma is mailed to the correct address, and get professional portraits made. You’ll also get to enjoy free popcorn, cake and smoothies, a photo booth, and the opportunity to learn about post graduate-opportunities. Bring your resume for it to be reviewed by Career and Co-op. Be sure to mark your calendars! There are two days available for your convenience: Wednesday, March 21: 10am – 6pm
Thursday, March 22: 10am – 6pm

Students, faculty, staff at EKU: This is for you! Join us for a town hall meeting tonight and hear from community members who are passionate about what is happening in Frankfort, ask legislators about the issues you care about, and make sure your voice is being heard in Frankfort! We will be talking about the budget, pensions, housing, and more.
Rep. Wesley Morgan (81st house district) has confirmed he will be in attendance, and Sen. Jared Carpenter (District 34) has confirmed attendance if the senate isn't still in session by that evening.

The Welch Appalachian Social & Economic Justice Lecture Series will present “She Sure is a Bird: Black Women and Mental Health in Appalachia ” by Crystal Wilkinson. Crystal Wilkinson is the author of The Birds of Opulence (winner of the 2016 Ernest J. Gaines Prize for Literary Excellence, the Weatherford Prize for Appalachian Fiction and Judy Gaines Prize), Water Street & Blackberries, Blackberries. Nominated for both the Orange Prize and Hurston/Wright Legacy Award, she has received recognition from The Ky. Foundation for Women, The Ky. Arts Council, The Mary Anderson Center for the Arts, The Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown and is a recipient of the Chaffin Award for Appalachian Literature.
