VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!! Join EKU's Office of Sustainability, Division of Natural Areas, Biological Sciences, Facilities Services, and the American Chestnut Foundation as we continue our commitment to the reintroduction of the American Chestnut to North America! We will be planting seeds, weeding, and cleaning up the area! Make sure to bring your lunch and wear long pants, gloves, and closed-toed shoes (boots work best!) for your protection. EKU Libraries' Student Artwork Exhibit is now on display in the Main Library. Stop by and see it in person, then visit us on Facebook and like your favorite artwork to help select the People's Choice Award winner. The winning artwork will be printed as a limited edition poster available in the fall, and the poster will be framed for permanent display in the Main Library.

The Office of Sustainability is hosting a fun runway show featuring wearable artwork crafted from sustainable & recycled materials. EKU students are highly encouraged to participate with their own original upcycled apparel! Participation is FREE and the event is open to the public!

We are having our R.A.D. Program (Women's Self Defense) on April 6th from 6-10PM AND April 7th from 9AM-6PM. This is a 12 hour (2 day) course. You must attend both dates. Eastern Kentucky University, in collaboration with Student Government Association and The Office of Multicultural Student Affairs will be hosting the 3rd Annual Diversity Summit on Saturday April 14th 2018. The theme for this years summit is: C.R.O.W.N - Create Restore Originate Win and Navigate. Our overall message for the summit is - "Come As One ... Leave As A Village".
The Summit will be located on campus at Crabbe Library. Registration will begin at 9:00am and the conference will kickoff at 10:00am! We will have a day full of learning and networking opportunities. A light breakfast & lunch will be provided to all participants.

AmeriCorps KY READY Corps is recruiting for two students to serve as members during the upcoming Summer and Fall semesters (May to December) on a part-time basis in support of the EKU Division of Public Safety. The members will work on preparedness and educational activities associated with response to a community-wide chemical emergency here on the main campus. Members will serve 450 hours during the 7-month period as a KY READY Corps member, and earn a $2,300 living allowance and $1,566 education award. Service time may count towards academic credit for internships and other credit-bearing courses.
