The African/African-American Studies Program at EKU is accepting nominations for the first Excellence in Teaching Award to recognize AFA faculty who exemplify excellence in the teaching and learning mission of EKU.
Nominations must be submitted by Monday, April 9th, 2018.

The newly re-established APICS Student Chapter will hold a registration event for new members on Thursday, March 29, from 6:00-8:00pm. Membership is $10.00 for yearly dues and is open to all business majors. Students will be registered for student memberships with APICS Bluegrass chapter and the Institute for Supply Management, the top supply chain professional organizations. Come join graduate student, Kaitlyn Kelly, to hike the grassy paths of EKU’s natural area Taylor Fork Ecological Area to learn how to identify common birds by sight and sound. Please bring binoculars if you can. Depending on weather, you may observe birds up close and the banding process. The hike will be on Thursday April 5 at 4:30 pm and will last about 1 hour. Please RSVP to kaitlyn_kelly32@mymail.eku.edu.
Please dress for the weather. You will require sturdy walking shoes.
Directions: Taylor Fork Ecological Area is adjacent to south campus. Take Kit Carson Dr to McKinney Skills Dr, then follow the dirt road on the right through the gate. Eastern Kentucky University, in collaboration with Student Government Association and The Office of Multicultural Student Affairs will be hosting the 3rd Annual Diversity Summit on Saturday April 14th 2018. The theme for this years summit is: C.R.O.W.N - Create Restore Originate Win and Navigate. Our overall message for the summit is - "Come As One ... Leave As A Village". The Summit will be located on campus at Crabbe Library. Registration will begin at 9:00am and the conference will kickoff at 10:00am! We will have a day full of learning and networking opportunities.
