Come out and learn about public safety with EKU's Fire, Safety, and Paramedicine Student organizations! There will be a LIVE BURN on campus, to demonstrate how fast fire is and the effectiveness of fire sprinklers. There will also be FREE FOOD! Students will have the opportunity to use the JAWS OF LIFE, go through an ambulance and learn hands-only CPR, be able to train with a fire extinguisher using live fire and more.
We look forward to seeing students come out and take part in this great learning opportunity provided in part by Richmond Fire Department, EKU student organizations, and the National Fire Sprinkler Association.

GOYGAM has been rescheduled for Tuesday 4/24, 6-7pm. Good weather it will be at the Ravine. Bad weather it will be at the Meditation Chapel. FREE t-shirts to the first 100 students!!

Tonight's game against NKU has been canceled! Our It's On Us Game has moved to SATURDAY's double header against UT Martin. Come out early to the home game to take the pledge to intervene & create a campus climate where sexual assault/violence is not acceptable & survivors are supported. The first 100 attendees will receive an It's On Us t-shirt! Also, be sure to listen for our facts and information about sexual violence periodically though out the game.

Laughter truly is the best medicine. We invite you to come laugh the stress of final exams, projects, and other life stressors away. We partnered with our friend, Jaime Brown, certified Laughter Yoga instructor to teach laughter yoga in The Ravine at 8 pm on Wednesday, April 18. Admission is $5 a person. The thoughts we think affect not only how we view ourselves, but how we view the world around us. We will be at Earth Day Festival planting thoughts in pots that will both grow in plant form and also grow in your mind promoting the blooming of self-love and compassion.

Come hike with Campus Rec on April 27th-29th! For this trip, we will be exploring the beautiful lands of Tennessee! We will be hiking all over different sections of the Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area. This trip is primarily hiking and camping but will also involve many opportunities for scenic views such as waterfalls, overlooks, and arches. Join us for a crazy fun time meeting fellow students on campus while enjoying the beautiful scenery in Big South Fork, Tennessee! The cost for this adventure is only $60! Join us as we celebrate the success of our advocacy and awareness campaign and the strength of survivors by welcoming Attorney General Andy Beshear to EKU!! Attorney General Beshear is an outspoken advocate for survivors seeking justice and a champion for prevention and prosecution of campus sexual assault and violence. Attorney General Beshear will speak on sexual violence and prevention, as well as announce the total number of pledges we received over the course of the It's On Us Pledge Drive. Come early or stick around after to participate in the Women and Gender Studies annual Clothesline Project as well. *Walnut Hall in Keen Johnson will serve as the alternate location if there is inclement weather.

Looking for a way to knock out 3 hours of upper division credit over the summer? REC 350 (Personnel Management) is a 100% online course that will be offered the first summer term. Benefits to taking this course include - application based assignments, selection of a lower priced course textbook, ability to work ahead in the course, no group work, and it is applicable to many fields.
