Come to the Noel Studio Discovery Classroom at 4pm on either Tuesday, August 21, or Wednesday, August 22, to hear about the EKU Mock Trial experience from participating students and faculty. Students selected for the team will earn course credit (POL 466, 2 credits per semester) while traveling the country and competing as attorneys and/or witnesses in several weekend tournaments throughout the year. Audition signups will be available at the meeting, and auditions will take place Thursday, August 23 and Friday, August 24. EKU's season opener against Morehead State is also our first Green Dot Football Game!! EKU Football believes violence is not acceptable. They are taking a stand against power-based interpersonal violence. By utilizing their platform to host a Green Dot Football Game, the team hopes to raise awareness about these issues while taking a stand to eliminate violence and support survivors. Each player will have a Green Dot on their helmets to show their support for violence prevention. Fans are encouraged to stop by the Green Dot booth (located in the student section) to get a green dot of their own to wear (including t-shirts while supplies last), as well as to learn more about the program and how to get involved. EKU Football is committed to making EKU a safer place and they invite you to do the same.

Need a great Elective?! Want to learn the skills to be an Outdoor Leader? REC 290 Adventure Programming will do just that while teaching you the history, philosophy and background on outdoor recreation and experiential education. This class will meet only once a week on Monday from 3:35-6:20 pm with one mandatory overnight trip! Don't worry, we can provide all of the gear you'll need. Hurry and sign up for the Fall 2018 semester while spots are still available.

Colonels are you ready for the new schedule of group fitness classes? Well you are in luck we have some awesome classes available for this upcoming semester. We have Zumba, Cycling, TurboKick, POUND, and so much more. Be sure to grab a schedule in person or keep track of the class times on our website or social media! You won't want to miss any of these classes. To sign up, register for classes at IM Leagues.

We are having our R.A.D. Program (Women's Self Defense) on August 31st from 6-10PM AND September 1st from 9AM-6PM. This is a 12 hour (2 day) course. You must be able to attend both dates. You will learn potentially live saving skills. Class is free, and spaces fill up quickly! Contact Dispatcher Lauren Early to sign up.

We are recruiting new members to the EKU Fencing Club. Join us for an introduction to fencing on Wednesday, August 22nd at 6 PM. The club room is located on the third floor of Weaver gym, one level above the basketball courts. All students are welcome to come and check us out! We need people interested in representing EKU at intercollegiate tournaments.
