Chautauqua National Juried Art Exhibition on the theme "Truths and Consequences"
Exhibition: Tues Jan 22 to Fri Feb 15, 2019
Opening Reception: Thurs Jan 24, 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Refreshments provided Each year, the Fred Parker Giles Gallery at Eastern Kentucky University, in conjunction with the Chautauqua Lecture Series and the Department of Art and Design, mounts a National Juried Art Exhibition focused on that year’s Chautauqua theme. The exhibition is organized by Giles Gallery curator, Esther Randall. Jurors typically select a variety of works as finalists for the exhibition and award merit and monetary prizes for the top three or more entries. A special Chautauqua theme award is also conferred. This year’s juror, James Grubola of the University of Louisville's Hite Art Institute, has selected 42 works in multiple media by 32 artists.

EKU Campus Recreation has a group fitness incentive challenge for all students. Simply show up to a group fitness class and win points for the challenge. Students must have their EKU ID to check-in. The highest percentage of participation between 1/14 and 3/31 in each category wins a prize:
