Parking and Transportation Services would like to announce a partnership with Colonels Cupboard in offering a parking citation waiver program for the donation of new toiletry items to the Cupboard. Parking Services will be accepting qualifying items beginning January, 28 2019 until February 8, 2019. The guidelines for the program include bringing five full size items that are unused and undamaged ( New) in exchange for one regular $25 parking citation. The citation must be from the 2019 semester and each individual will be limited to the waiver of one citation. For qualifying goods visit parking.eku.edu or communityservice.ekuedu/cupboard. Donations will be accepted at the Parking & Transportation Services Office in Commonwealth Hall, 2nd Floor from January 28 - February 8 during business days.

Event Speaker: Dr. Ian Boggero, PhD, University of Kentucky
Chronic pain, defined as pain which persists beyond the expected time of healing- affects over 20 percent of the U.S. population and is associated with significant interference with daily activities. Yet, much remains to be understood about why pain is interfering. In this talk, Dr. Boggero will argue that fatigue is a fundamental contributor to pain-related interference and will propose that fatigue subtypes each contribute unique variance to pain interference.

Course Description: Are modern media depictions of Scottish history in Braveheart, Brave, Highlander, Rob Roy and Outlander historically accurate? This course will compare modern conceptions of Scottish history and culture to the reality of the medieval, early modern, and Victorian eras. Visit castles, historical homes of the rich and poor, churches, & museums to learn if Scots really painted themselves blue for battle and loved or hated England, Mary, Queen of Scots, and Bonnie Prince Charlie. Explore highlands and the lowlands, learn why Americans claim Scottish heritage, explore myths of kilts and haggis.
