Do you know what to do in a community-wide chemical emergency? Join the Division of Public Safety in Perkins Building in Quad D for a training seminar. This is important information because the Blue Grass Army Depot is scheduled to begin destruction of its chemical stockpile in mid 2019. We want you to be informed about how you can stay safe. The sessions will be: Wednesday, Feb. 6, 6-8:15 p.m.

This panel-style event welcomes Executive Director of Public Safety & Risk Management Bryan Makinen, Director of Emergency Management & Security Gary Folckemer, and EKU Police Chief Brian Mullins. Students will have the opportunity to learn about each panelist's role in the EKU community, what each job entails on a daily basis, and hear some case studies. The panelists will also provide information on safety and security resources offered to students.

Come join Alpha Phi Omega as we make Valentine boxes for elementary school students! A lot of elementary schools hold parties on this day, and some students aren't able to provide their own box. We are going to be donating our decorated boxes to ensure that students don’t go empty handed this Valentine’s Day!

Calling all student artists! You are invited to submit your original artwork to the annual Library Student Art Exhibit. Accepted pieces will be on display in the Main Library during the month of March and included in the People's Choice Awards competition on the EKU Libraries Facebook page. First, second, and third place awards will also be available and will be chosen by a Library committee. The winners of the People's Choice Award and first-place award will have their art featured on limited edition posters available to students in the fall.
