Did you know your Vet-Success Counselor visits the Stratton Building, every Thursday from 1:00 am to 2:30 pm, to answer all your VA benefit related questions? Steve Johnson will be at the Stratton Building today starting at 1:00 am, so he can answer benefit questions, assist with tutoring help, give assistance through the food pantry, and any other needs you have on campus. Additionally, if you are running out of Post 911 benefits and have a service connected disability, he can assist with another program. DataFest is a nationwide event where undergraduate students compete in teams to apply statistical and analytical knowledge to answer interesting questions about a dataset. All majors are encouraged to participate; the point is to have truly interdisciplinary teams so each student can add a different perspective. It will take place the weekend of April 5-7 in the Science Building at EKU. Make sure to join the fun - you will have the opportunity to gain experience working with real data, consult with professionals, and win prizes!

We have several great trips for spring break, and you can find more information about each trip below. On all of the trips, students will have the opportunity to work directly with professionals in each field, learn more about different cultures/environments, and get hands on experience working In historic presentation, disaster relief, and/or environmental conservation. Deadline, March 1st, though signups are expected to fill before.
All trips include transportation, lodging, and most meals (minus travel days).

The 18th annual University Presentation Showcase will be held on Friday, April 12. For the UP Showcase, undergraduate and graduate students and their faculty/staff mentors can share their work with the public. Students in all departments who have collaborated with faculty/staff on scholarly and/or creative projects are invited to participate.
Projects may include artwork, original writing, research and other scholarly/creative work. For students, projects that go beyond a classroom assignment are most appropriate, although there are exceptions, e.g. senior theses.
If you already have a project completed, please go to https://encompass.eku.edu/swps/ to submit your work!
Students must have collaborated on the project with a faculty or staff mentor, who must approve the abstract before submission.
Deadline for abstract submission is March 8, 2019.
