The College of Letters, Arts, & Social Sciences (CLASS) is offering a $500 stipend to a graduating student to present a commencement speech at the Spring 2019 Graduation Ceremony. To be eligible, you must have applied for Spring or Summer 2019 Graduation within CLASS.
•Speeches should be about 4-5 minutes in length, which is about 3-4 pages of double-spaced text.
•MSWord or Rich Text Format, double-spaced, in 12-point Times New Roman font, with normal one-inch margins
•At the top of text please include full name, EKU ID number, major, expected degree, and department.
Submit speeches before the end of the day Friday, March 22nd, by sending an e-mail attachment of the text to Dr. Amy Thieme at amy.thieme@eku.edu.
Interviews with finalists will be Wednesday, April 3rd.

Sometimes all the equipment in a gym can be overwhelming and you may have no idea how to even use it. Well EKU Campus Recreation has an incredible workshop for you to help overcome these obstacles or for anyone who wants to be a fitness instructor in the future! This workshop is for anyone wanting to learn how to instruct a class utilizing the TRX and/or Bosu ball or just someone who wants to figure out the proper techniques for workouts with TRX and Bosu balls. This combination style workout will guarantee a killer workout from head to toe, that will guide you through proper body mechanics and techniques utilized in the routine.
The workshop is March the 22nd & 29th from 1:30-3:00pm, must attend both days. It will be in the group fitness studio and it only costs $20. Register today at mycampusrec!

The speakers are Diane Parrish and Dave Cooper. Diane Parrish is the president of Making a Difference Now (MADN). Dave Cooper is the Program Coordinator of Animal Rescue in Appalachia, part of The Kentucky Dog Project.
