In an effort to divert reusable goods from entering our landfills the Office of Sustainability has partnered with EKU Housing and Facilities on a Sustainable Move Out. Your donations to the following organizations will directly benefit your fellow students, residents of Madison County, and children across the world. Donation bins are located in your lobby. Ask your RA about locations for larger items such as mini fridges. Colonel’s Cupboard/Upward Bound – non-perishable food, gently used clothing, unopened toiletries, and accessories such as backpacks
Salvation Army – housewares & office supplies
Habitat for Humanity ReStore – furniture & appliances
International Book Project – Lightly used books

EKU Campus Rec is offering a 2-day, Yoga foundations workshop providing hands on experience on August 3rd-4th. This event is welcome to anyone who wants to become a yoga instructor. Early bird pricing is $349, ends July 3rd. The regular price is $399 and the deadline to register is July 29th. You'll learn basics of class formatting, yoga history, anatomy and physiology of the nervous and respiratory systems, verbal refinements, and inclusive cueing. This certification will provide 2 sample beginning yoga classes as well as practice under the supervision of an experienced yoga teacher. If planning to become an instructor for the Rec be sure to email lauren.smith@eku.edu before the certification there is a discount code available for potential instructors. Students -ever thought about getting a Master's degree? Think about a graduate degree in Recreation and Park Administration! The RPA 3+2 program allows EKU juniors with a 3.2 GPA to take three courses that count toward your undergraduate and graduate degrees! Most students can finish their masters in one year after that.
