EKU has adopted a statement of Medical Amnesty. When a student finds themselves or another student’s safety at risk due to the use of alcohol or other drugs, they should contact the EKUPD immediately for medical assistance. Formal disciplinary action for violations of paragraphs 33, 34, and 35 of the General Regulations Concerning Student Behavior of the Student Handbook will not be enforced provided the involved students meet the criteria for amnesty. The goal of Medical Amnesty is to encourage student safety in dire situations. You can read the details and requirements of Medical Amnesty at https://studentconduct.eku.edu/medical-amnesty.

The Department of History, Philosophy, and Religious studies will be hosting a Philosophy and Religious Studies Roundtable Discussion Series throughout the semester. Roundtable discussions will be on the last Wednesday of the month: August 28, September 25, October 30, and November 20, in Keith Hall Room 319, 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM. Our first topic will be “The Myth of Sisyphus, Revisited” led by Matthew Pianalto, on Wednesday, August 28. The Roundtable Series is open to all students, faculty, and staff.

Students! EKU Football opens its home season Thursday at 7 pm against Valparaiso at Roy Kidd Stadium. FREE EKU FOOTBALL ‘BACK IN BLACK’ tshirts will be available while supplies last. There is a FREE Student Tailgate, sponsored by Campus Life with FREE Apollo pizza and fun, games and more in the Student Tailgate area of Alumni Coliseum. Make plans to spend Thursday with us!

The Colonel's Cupboard is a FREE resource to all students! We have food items, clothing, and toiletries! We also recently had an abundance of 3 ring binders donated that are available for students as well! We are located in Commonwealth 212 and our walk-in hours can be found at https://communityservice.eku.edu/Cupboard. Stop in and do some shopping!

World Instructor Training School Personal Trainer Course. Become a Certified Personal Trainer with this 7-week hybrid course. The deadline to register for the course is September 25th. The online application for student teaching for Spring 2020 (located on EKU Direct) will automatically open at Midnight on September 1st and will remain open through September 15th. Applications for student teaching will only be accepted during this two week window. Please be sure to list your preferences for school district placements.
