Have you ever wondered what it is like to be in the Game Industry, or how to get your foot in the door? EKU Game and Dev will be hosting an event broken in two parts to cover the beginnings of the industry. For the first half, they will be discussing networking and portfolio building within the Game & Development industry and helping students prepare their own portfolios. In the second half, students will get to begin the game creation cycle with discussion about pitches, in which students will be able to pitch their ideas and recruit fellow members to work on their ideas for the semester. People in all fields and all skills are more than welcome to attend!

EKU Assistance Animal Policy 1.3.3R requires all Emotional Support Animals register with the Center for Student Accessibility. It is a violation of this policy when ESAs are in the residence hall of the handler until registration is complete, and the student has met with their RHC. Violations of the EKU Animal Policy can lead to the removal of the animal from campus. Emotional Support Animals, also known as Assistance Animals, are restricted to their handler’s room and going outside to relieve themselves. ESAs “assist” an individual who may be diagnosed with a mental health issue by providing a sense of comfort. ESAs can be any type of animal; and have received no training to complete a job or task for their handler. If you have questions or concerns regarding a specific situation, please contact the Center for Student Accessibility Office.

EKU Accounting will host its annual 'Meet the Firms' night on Monday, September 19. Held each fall, this professional networking event provides a venue for students and firms to interact in a professional setting. Regional firms, both large and small, from Lexington, Richmond, Danville, and London are invited to recruit for full-time spring internships. One of the most important benefits of 'Meet the Firms' is the opportunity it provides students to meet and network with accounting professionals. Many students will be called back for interviews after submitting their resumes to recruiters.
