Campus Recreation and Green Dot present the Do's and Donuts of Healthy Dating. Join us on October 16th from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. outside of Powell Memorial Plaza to talk about what a healthy relationship looks like, warning signs of an unhealthy relationship, and of course donuts! Hope's Wings the Domestic Violence Resource Center will also be at the event to help facilitate the conversation and answer any questions.

Red Goes Pink for Breast Cancer Month. Join the Everlasting Eta Rho Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. on Thursday, October 17 for our annual Breast Cancer Bingo night as we spread awareness. Prizes will be given to each winner. We hope to see you there!

The Boogie Bash is being put on for the students of EKU by NRHH. This event will feature a dance party, movies, and treats.
Also trick or treat campus resources that attend the event and learn about resources and organizations we have here at EKU that you can get involved in or may be helpful for you.
Come dressed up in a creative or spooky costume and you could participate for a chance to win the costume contest we will be having and get a spooky surprise.
So stop on by throughout the night and learn about resources on campus or take a break from studying, and dance with friends or watch a spooky movie. We hope to see you all there wearing your creative costumes! Do you still need one credit hour? REC 101 (Recreation & Tourism Careers) begins October 29. This 5 week course is an introduction to the broad scope of careers and employment in recreation, parks, event planning, therapeutic recreation and tourism services. Join us in exploring this fun and dynamic profession!

All EKU students are encouraged and welcome to nominate faculty for the 2019-2020 EKU Faculty Leadership Award, given through the Noel Faculty Awards Program. The Faculty Leadership Award is presented to an EKU faculty member who exhibits exemplary leadership at EKU. Leadership could be in the areas of service to the University but could also include leadership in Departments or Colleges. Nominations for the 2019-2020 award must be submitted by Friday, November 22. Applicants will be invited from the initial pool of nominees. This academic workshop is designed to introduce graduate students to more advanced and/or genre-specific critical reading strategies. Participants will learn and apply skills and techniques to scholarly sources in order to develop critical reading approaches that facilitate the synthesis of information within the context of writing a literature review. EKU has adopted a statement of Medical Amnesty. When a student finds themselves or another student’s safety at risk due to the use of alcohol or other drugs, they should contact the EKUPD immediately for medical assistance. Formal disciplinary action for violations of paragraphs 33, 34, and 35 of the General Regulations Concerning Student Behavior of the Student Handbook will not be enforced provided the involved students meet the criteria for amnesty.
