Food insecurity impacts students’ ability to succeed in college.
We are conducting a study at EKU titled ““A Longitudinal Study of Food Insecurity and Its Impacts on College Students”. This study will examine the impact of food insecurity on EKU students.
If you are an EKU student interested in sharing your experiences with food insecurity, please contact us.
You will be interviewed by our research team and complete a survey. It will take ~ 2 hours.
Participants will receive a $20 gift card to compensate them for their time.

The EKU Spin-the-Wheel Scholarship Application is open for Summer 2020! Don't miss out on your chance to receive a fully funded(program cost/tuition & airfare) summer study abroad scholarship! Meet with AESA officers and members to discuss winter and spring fundraisers, events, and conferences! We will meet once during the day while our advisor, Dr. Szekely can be present and I will recap at the 6:30 meeting. No need to attend both!

We are a campus ministry looking to be a blessing for the EKU community. All students are welcome. Come join us for a special time. We have a free home cooked meal and afterwords we have our weekly worship service. We sing a few worship songs and then spend some time discussing a topic that we hope will be challenging and encouraging.

The Young Professionals in Philanthropy presents: Halloween Trivia Night! Come join YPP for a game of spooky trivia and don't forget to bring a friend. There will be refreshments and a Halloween gift basket for the winner!

EKU Risk Management & Insurance are hosting a career fair on November 7 from 10am until 3pm at the Business and Technology Center Atrium. The event is open to all EKU majors and minors! There will be over 15 companies in attendance excited to meet bright colonels! When registering, please include your resume, as we are giving employers an electronic resume book.

APO National Service Week for 2019 is on Diabetes Awareness on Campus. This event will be a bake-off amongst RSO’s to bake diabetic-friendly treats/dishes. Each RSO will pay five dollars to participate. After baking a treat of their choice, we will showcase all of the food, allow students to try a bite of each dish, and then people donate any amount of money to vote on their favorite. The food with the most amount of money raised (votes) will get to split the proceeds with us for their charity of choice. Our half will go to a charity for diabetes. DEADLINE TO SIGN UP IS NOVEMBER 1!

EKU Colonel's Cupboard is partnering with EKU Parking Office to once again offer Donations for Citations. From October 28th-November 1st, students are able to turn their parking tickets into food for students. Students can donate five items from the qualifying list to get rid of one parking ticket. Stop by the Main Library in your Halloween costume; we'll take your picture and let our Facebook followers determine the winners! Prizes will be given for Best Faculty/Staff Individual Costume, Best Student Individual Costume, and Best Group Costume. Groups are limited to a maximum of 6 individuals. We will also have a Halloween themed poster available to color. All student participants will have an opportunity to enter a contest to win access to a fully-stocked study room during Dead Week. EKU Campus Rec has a fun group fitness event planned for you "Hoedown Throwdown" is a special country-themed Dance Fitness class on October 28th at 5:30pm. This class will teach you how to line dance to some of your favorite songs, but with some traditional and non-traditional workout moves thrown in. All participants will receive bandanas! Do you still need one credit hour? REC 101 (Recreation & Tourism Careers) begins tomorrow at 3:30PM. This 5 week course is an introduction to the broad scope of careers and employment in recreation, parks, event planning, therapeutic recreation and tourism services. It's not too late to add this course!
