“Building Resilience and Finding Balance: Mettle, Mindfulness and Veterans’ Mental Health”
Free and open to the public / Attendance slips provided Dr. David Albright is the Hill Crest Foundation Endowed Chair in Mental Health and Director of the Office for Military Families and Veterans at The University of Alabama School of Social Work. A military veteran and former research fellow with both the Department of Veterans Affairs and the RAND Corporation’s Center for Military Health Policy Research, Albright is the Co-Editor of the recent collection, "Bulletproofing the Psyche: Preventing Mental Health Problems in Our Military and Veterans," which focuses on the phenomenon of resilience, among other pertinent determinants of mental health and well-being.

Assist in the day-to-day operations of Student Life & First-Year Experience, provide some marketing materials, assist in the planning and implementation of events, promote all activities, and assist at the Colonel’s Cupboard.
This position would also assist with Powell building operations that could include checking spaces, unlocking/locking spaces, reservation reviews and other duties as assigned.

In order to provide students in Spanish courses with more spaces to practice their language skills, the Languages, Cultures & Humanities Department is launching a new Spanish Film Series. The first film in the series is director Marc Silver and acclaimed actor Gael García Bernal's film "¿Quien es Dayani Cristal?" (Who is Dayani Cristal?). Films will be shown in their original language with English subtitles and will be briefly introduced by a faculty member. Following the movie there will be a short Q&A session. Every member of the EKU community is welcome!
