Each year EKU's Office of First-Year Courses recognizes high-achieving freshmen at the Outstanding First-Year Student Awards Ceremony. We didn’t want our students’ accomplishments to go unnoticed this year, so the ceremony has been pre-recorded and made available to the campus community. Join President McFaddin, the First-Year Courses staff, and all those watching at home as we celebrate both Outstanding First-Year Student and Outstanding First-Year Leader Award recipients.

Looking for a paid community service opportunity in Madison or surrounding counties? Want to help your community during the COVID-19 crisis? Serve with our AmeriCorps program this summer! Our AmeriCorps members work on direct service and capacity building preparedness and response projects with organizations and agencies that serve vulnerable populations. Summer service is 300 hours between May 15 and August 14, 2020. Benefits include a modest living allowance, an education award at end of service, and valuable professional development.

Join the staff of the EKU Counseling Center today for a Workshop on organization and planning. The organization and planning module of the Feel Better Fast series will be aimed to help establish a routine to help with managing your day. We will work to establish a daily schedule to help you plan and prioritize your day. Additionally, we will brainstorm ways to increase your motivation and make it easier to initiate tasks, while hopefully making your day more enjoyable.

Free QPR (Question, Persuade and Refer) Gatekeeper training for suicide prevention for faculty, staff and students will be offered via the secure platform, doxy.me.
As a QPR-trained Gatekeeper, you will learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to help someone find the help they may need. Help save the life of a friend, colleague or family member in need.

Applications are now being accepted for the 2020-2021 College of Education Scholarships Program. Scholarship descriptions, application instructions, and required application forms are available at https://coe.eku.edu/Student-Scholarships.
Students who will be enrolled in Fall 2020 or who have applied for admission in Fall 2020 are eligible to apply for College of Education Scholarships. All information will be verified and only complete applications will be considered.
