The KY Ready Corps program is seeking five (5) new members to serve on a sustainable garden project sponsored by the Catholic Action Center, at their retreat center in Lancaster, Kentucky. Members will serve 15-20 hours per week from September 1, 2020 to May 28, 2021 on an outdoor garden/farm and food insecurity project. Benefits include a modest living allowance, an education award at end of service, and housing at Cliffview Retreat Center, if desired (offered by CAC). Join the staff of the EKU Counseling Center today for a workshop on Mindfulness. Being isolated in quarantine can lead to spending a lot of time on various activities that take your attention away from the present moment. Practicing mindfulness can be a great opportunity to improve your mental health by challenging yourself to be present and aware of your thoughts and feelings. In this workshop, you will learn tools that can help you practice mindfulness and work towards reducing and preventing stress, anxiety, depression, as well as many other concerns you may be experiencing.
