Cru is a Christian ministry we have at EKU that will be meeting online via zoom this semester, on Thursday nights at 8pm. On Friday, September 11th, Campus Recreation is hosting the annual #UnitedWeClimb Stair Climb. Using one of our stairmasters, climb 110 flights to replicate what the first responders endured 19 years ago. Climbs can be completed anytime between 6am and 10pm. Our AmeriCorps program and the Catholic Action Center is looking for one or two paid volunteers to serve in fall and/or spring semesters, to assist with an outdoor sustainable garden project at its retreat center in Lancaster. The KY Ready Corps Member would be assisting with food harvesting and distribution, preparing the sustainable garden for winter, and assisting with a greenhouse project in spring. Benefits include a $2300 living allowance, and a $1638 education award at end of service, for tuition and/or student loans.
