Affirm is a collaborative group working toward acceptance through education and open discussion toward LGBTQ+ life experiences. This is a virtual therapy group through the EKU Psychology Clinic, is conducted by EKU Clinical Psychology doctoral students, and hosted through Zoom. Untapped Brilliance is a group for those living with ADHD. This group is designed to tap into the skills and talents that are a part of living with ADHD and develop strategies to use those gifts in every part of life. This virtual group is provided by the EKU Counseling Center and is hosted through a secure video platform. Coping with COVID is an affirming support group for students who have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus and are in isolation. This is a weekly virtual support group offered three times per week.

The Ubuntu Series is a collaborative partnership between the offices of Multicultural Student Affairs and Student Life & First-Year Experience. The aim of the series is to deliver information, provide resources, and implement events to increase student engagement around topics of diversity, inclusion, and cultural awareness. This discussion will be facilitated by Interim Director, Ashley Offutt and the presenters will be Dr.Gomez Becerra and Dra.Zaragoza from the Department of Languages, Cultures, and Humanities. Being isolated in quarantine can lead to spending a lot of time on various activities that take your attention away from the present moment. Practicing mindfulness can be a great opportunity to improve your mental health by challenging yourself to be present and aware of your thoughts and feelings. In this workshop, you will learn tools that can help you practice mindfulness and work towards reducing and preventing stress, anxiety, depression, as well as many other concerns you may be experiencing.

Grief group is a friendly, caring space shared with other EKU students coping with death of a loved one. This weekly group will support you through one of life's most difficult experiences. Storm water is defined by US EPA as the runoff generated when precipitation from rain and snowmelt events flows over land or impervious surfaces without percolating into the ground. In most cases, storm water flows directly to water bodies through storm water sewer systems, and can contribute and be a major source of pollution to rivers, lakes, and the ocean. So, it is very important we protect our vast water sources from pollutants. Here at EKU we take storm water quality seriously. If you witness an illicit discharge or an illegal dumping on campus, please notify Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) through emergency dispatch by dialing 9-1-1 or 622-1111.
