Affirm is a collaborative group working toward acceptance through education and open discussion toward LGBTQ+ life experiences. This is a virtual therapy group through the EKU Psychology Clinic, is conducted by EKU Clinical Psychology doctoral students, and hosted through Zoom. We meet Monday evenings from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. EKU Winter is the ideal time to take courses that allow you to catch up or stay caught up, take a challenging course, or enroll in a required course. Registration has begun. EKU Football hosts Houston Baptist THIS SATURDAY, October 3rd at 3pm in its first home game this season at Roy Kidd Stadium. TypeFocus is a free resource offered by the Office of Academic and Career Services that allows you to take assessments focused on your personality, interests, values, and skills. After each assessment, you will receive information about your results, as well as different careers and majors that are typical for those with similar results. If desired, you can also schedule a Zoom appointment with a career counselor by contacting our office to help make your results make sense in a personalized way. The Eastern Kentucky University Counseling Center (EKUCC) now offers after hours support to an EKU student or any person concerned about an EKU student. This is an extension of EKUCC services and can assist a caller in any mental health crisis situation. When appropriate, EKUCC staff will follow up with the caller on the university’s next business day. EKUCC After Hours is available weekends, evenings, holidays, and during university closures. This new service augments the existing full spectrum of clinical services provided at the EKU Counseling Center and extends the reach to more students, at critical times after hours when they may need the services. To access EKUCC After Hours Urgent Support, please call (859) 622-1303. If you need emergency assistance, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.
